The Filteroo® filtration process is a gentle and unhurried gravity-based method, ensuring that your water has ample contact time with the filtration media. With the new specially designed full-size bottom tank, which encloses the top tank inside the bottom tank, you can have peace of mind that this water filter can never leak. Unlike all other stainless steel gravity water filters that leak out between the middle join, the Superoo has no middle join. Exceptional filtration with minerals preserved

The ceramic filter candles included eliminate both naturally existing and artificially added fluoride from drinking water. The Ultra Fluoride Ceramic Water Filter Candles are manufactured in Great Britain, where Doulton has been handmaking ceramic drinking water filter candles since 1862.

This cartridge is highly recommended for almost any water type. It is suitable for all gravity water filter systems that take a 7” tall cartridge, including the Filteroo® Superoo. The filter system must have a minimum hole size of 12.5 mm diameter in the top tank.

The Ultra Fluoride Ceramic Water Filter Candles offer the hallmark advantages of a ceramic water filter candle. Experience slow drip by drip filtration, allowing the water to have the required contact time with the media to effectively mitigate particles, pathogenic bacteria, and cysts.

This cartridge boasts impressive capabilities, tested to eliminate up to 98.9%* of fluoride, with an adsorption capacity of 1,950 ppm. For instance, if your water registers 1 ppm of fluoride, the Ultra Fluoride cartridge can efficiently filter 1,950 litres before necessitating replacement. Furthermore, Doulton® ceramic filter candles preserve naturally occurring minerals, ensuring water retains its delightful taste. Included with wing nut and washer, this replacement ceramic water filter cartridge not only enhances taste and odour but also reduces chlorine, chloramine, bacteria, heavy metals, and fluoride.

Life Span

The Ultra Fluoride cartridge will last for 6 to 12 months, depending on usage.

When not in use

If the filter is left to stand for more than 3 – 4 days without use, it is recommended that one litre of water be allowed to flow through the cartridge to waste before using.

Scrub, Clean and Reuse

Never wash cartridges with detergents or second-hand scourer pads. To clean, remover your filter, grip the filter by its plastic base and unscrew the nut underneath. Using a new scouring pad, scrub the ceramic surface clean under cold running water. Do not use soap or detergent.

Fully disposable cartridges

Simply wrap your worn-out cartridges up in old newspaper and place them into your rubbish bin.

Installation

1. Place the sealing washer over the threaded mount.
2. Place the filter candle mount stem through the hole in the upper section of the housing and secure it with a wing nut. Do not over-tighten. Ensure that the outlet tap is in the off position.
3. Fill the upper container with cold water and allow this to filter through. Our filter is made of a special ceramic and contains carbon granules; this means black particles may be visible when water filters through for the first time.
4. Discard the first filtered water.
5. Repeat the process and run at least 1 litre of water to waste per fitted filter, and continue running until the water is clear. Wipe the lower chamber with a clean cloth to remove any dust particles – the filter is now ready for use

If the filter is left to stand for more than 3 days without use, it is recommended that one litre of water be allowed to run to waste before use.
