BLACK BERKEY PRIMER SPECIFICATIONS:

The Black Berkey Primer is a hand priming pump that makes it possible to prime Black Berkey® Elements offline, without the need for taps or hose connections. Priming the Black Berkey® Elements saturates the filters with water prior to their use, allowing for clean water production anywhere.
If you have a small sink or short tap/faucet, the Black Berkey Primer™ makes it easy to prime your Black Berkey® Elements
The Black Berkey Primer™ also purges(or back-flushes) the Black Berkey® Elements using air instead of water to clean the pores of the compressed carbon filter wall. Purging the Black Berkey® Elements cleans the pores of debris that has accumulated with use and reduces the time and effort needed to dry the filters prior to storing them.
Specifically designed for use with the Black Berkey® Elements (Note: the second image above shows the Primer attached to a Black Berkey element – not included)
May be cleaned with mild soap and warm water. Do not microwave the Black Berkey® Primer
Store in a cool dry place and keep out of direct sunlight

Perfect compliment to go with the Berkey Filter.
Much easier and more effective than using the tap. It will definitely help when there is no or little running water available. The primer helps to unclog the pores of the filters.
Ordering and delivery is also very quick!

Best purchase I have made this year. I purchased this as my mother has one and loved the taste of her water and no more chlorine smells. We use it so much that in hindsight, I should have gone bigger. We are a 5 person house with animals (who drink Berkey water also), I fill the boiling jug with the water and we drink alot of water so the Big Berkey is used heavily.
