British Berkefeld 7″ Ultra Fluoride Ceramic Water Filter Candles (two pack)

This high-capacity ceramic filter candle is specifically designed to remove both naturally occurring and added fluoride from drinking water, further broadening its range of water filtration solutions.

This cartridge is designed as a replacement for the Filteroo Steels (all sizes) and the Ceramic range of gravity water filters. It can also be used with any gravity water filter that has a hole diameter greater than of 12.5 mm. It removes:

• Sediment
• Silt
• Dirt
• Bugs
• Cysts
• Bacteria
• Chlorine
• Chloramine
• Fluoride
• Heavy metals such as: Arsenic, Barium, Chromium, Lead, Selenium, Mercury, Herbicides, and Pesticides.

Extensively tested, it demonstrates the capability to remove up to 98.9%* of fluoride and can adsorb a total of 1,950 ppm of fluoride.

For instance, if your water contains 1 ppm of fluoride, the British Berkefeld Ultra Fluoride Ceramic Water Filter Candle can efficiently purify 1,500 litres before necessitating replacement. Furthermore, Doulton® ceramic filter candles preserve naturally occurring minerals that enhance the taste of water.

• Installation Instructions:
• Place the sealing washer on the threaded mount.
• Insert the filter candle mount stem through the top housing section hole and secure with the wing nut. Avoid over-tightening. Make sure the outlet tap is off.
• Fill the upper container with cold water, allowing it to filter through. Initial filtering may show black particles due to the ceramic’s carbon granules.
• Discard the first filtered water and run at least 1 liter to waste per filter until the water is clear. Wipe the lower chamber clean of any dust. The filter is now ready for use.
• If unused for more than 3 days, run one liter of water to waste before reuse.

Installation:

• Place the sealing washer over the threaded mount.
• Place the filter candle mount stem through the hole in the upper section of the housing and secure it with a wing nut. Do not over-tighten. Ensure that the outlet tap is in the off position.
• Fill the upper container with cold water and allow this to filter through. Our filter is made of a special ceramic and contains carbon granules; this means black particles may be visible when water filters through for the first time.
• Discard the first filtered water.
• Repeat the process and run at least 1 litre of water to waste per fitted filter, and continue running until the water is
  clear. Wipe the lower chamber with a clean cloth to remove any dust particles – the filter is now ready for use.

If the filter is left to stand for more than 3 days without use, it is recommended that one liter of water be allowed to run to waste before use.
